Vital•Check® Vital Signs monitoring update - 4400/4500 Series

Vital•Check® Vital Sign Monitors

Cardinal Health, Alaris® Products has been distributing the Vital•Check® 4400/4500 series Vital Signs Monitors, manufactured by Criticare Systems, Inc., since 1997. Criticare also distributes these monitors under its own Vital Care® 506 series brand worldwide. Together, Vital•Check® and Vital•Care® brands have a global installed base of over 20,000 portable monitors. As the manufacturer of both products, Criticare has performed all service and repair on these monitors since their introduction. As of August 31, 2005, Cardinal Health will end its sales of the Vital•Check® series 4400/4500 Vital Signs Monitors. All sales from Cardinal Health are limited to available inventory. On September 1, 2005, Criticare will assume responsibility for all customer inquiries. Going forward, Criticare will provide customer support, technical support, as well as service and repair, for all Vital•Check® 4400/4500 Vital Signs Monitors. The benefit to you: the latest technology through your direct Criticare relationship.

The Cardinal Health to Criticare Systems transition will follow this timeline:

  • On August 31, 2005, Cardinal Health will end its sales of the Vital•Check® 4400/4500 series Vital Signs Monitors.
  • On September 1, 2005, Criticare will become the point-of-contact for all Vital•Check® Monitor inquiries. Criticare Customer Service can be reached at 800-458-4615.
  • Once existing inventories of Alaris® branded parts and accessories are depleted, Criticare will provide equivalent parts/accessories under its Vital•Care® brand.
